Download Facebook Videos, Reels and Stories from Any Post Link

Paste a facebook.com or m.facebook.com link – get the MP4 with its original audio and no watermark added.

Public posts only. We never ask for a Facebook login. Copyright

No app or APK

Runs in the browser you already have.

No watermark added

We never stamp the file; the original mark stays as it is.

Reels & Stories

Short-form and 24-hour posts, both from the same box.

iPhone & Android

One link, one button – no app to install and nothing to configure. On iPhone the file lands in the Files app first; the FAQ below has the two taps that move it into Photos.

How to download a Facebook video

  1. 1

    Copy the post link

Tap the three dots on the video, or Share → Copy Link in the Facebook app. You get an address shaped like facebook.com/username/videos/1234567890, or a Reel link like facebook.com/reel/1234567890.

  2. 2

    Check that it is public

Open the link in a private window. If it plays there, this page can read it. If Facebook asks you to log in, the post is limited to friends, a group or just the author – and nothing can download it for you.

  3. 3

Paste it above and hit Download MP4

Savemov opens the post, finds the media file the player is actually streaming and prepares a copy.

  4. 4

Save the file to your device

The result link comes back with the response, so download it on the spot. Savemov does not keep a copy.

Which Facebook posts this page can save

Video posts

Clips uploaded to a Page, a profile or a public group.

Reels

Vertical short-form posts – the same MP4 the Reels player streams.

Stories

Public stories can be saved before they disappear after 24 hours.

Watch and long videos

Facebook Watch uploads and Page videos that run for minutes.

Photo slideshows

Slideshow posts are images, not video – there is no MP4 behind them.

Your own posts

Back up something you published before you delete or edit it.

Video formats and quality

Savemov keeps the file Facebook already serves: usually an MP4 with the original audio track. We do not convert, compress or re-encode, so what you save looks like what the player showed – and nothing downloads with our logo on it.

Quality follows the upload, not our settings. A Reel filmed and posted at 720p downloads at 720p; it does not become 1080p, and we will not upscale it. Savemov returns the file the post is already playing.

The file link comes back as soon as the request finishes. Save it to your device right away, because Savemov does not keep a copy.

Public posts only – and why

This page reads only what a logged-out visitor can already see. That is not a limitation we can lift: a private video, a friends-only post, an age-gated community or a group you are not a member of has no public file for us to prepare.

It is also the reason no Facebook downloader can honestly promise those. Any tool claiming to open private videos wants your login, a browser extension that watches everything you do, or an app that asks for permissions it has no use for. Savemov asks for none of that: you submit one public link, nothing is installed, and nothing is stored.

If a post is public but you would rather not have it saved elsewhere, that is a fair expectation – Facebook owners can request removal under our Copyright policy, and we act on valid notices.

Facebook video downloader FAQ

How do I download a video from Facebook?

Tap the three dots on the post (or Share → Copy Link in the app), paste the address in the box above and press Download MP4. Savemov finds the media file behind the player and returns a copy you can save – no app, no sign-up, no Facebook account.

Is there a Facebook video downloader online without watermark?

Yes – in the narrow sense that we add nothing. Savemov never stamps a logo on the file. What we cannot do is remove a mark that is already part of the picture: if the creator put their own watermark or channel name inside the video, it is baked into the frames, and a downloader that claims to erase it is either lying or re-encoding the clip and making it softer.

Can I download a Facebook Reel?

Yes. Paste the Reel link – facebook.com/reel/… – and you get the same MP4 the Reels player streams, vertical, with its audio. Reels saved this way are not cropped or bordered.

Can I save a Facebook Story before it disappears?

Public stories can be saved while they are live. Stories vanish from the feed after 24 hours, and so does the file behind them – once the post is gone, the link resolves to nothing and no tool can bring it back. Archive copies that only the author can open are not public and stay out of reach.

Do I need a Facebook video downloader app or APK?

No. There is nothing to install, no APK to sideload, no browser extension to grant permissions. You paste one public link in the browser you already use, on desktop, iPhone or Android. That is also why your downloads appear nowhere in your Facebook activity: the site never sees the request.

Can I download private Facebook videos?

No. Savemov only works with videos set to public on Facebook. Videos shared with friends only, or inside a private group, cannot be downloaded.

Does Savemov work with Facebook group videos?

It works if the group and the specific video are both set to public. Videos inside private or closed groups cannot be accessed without logging in.

Why does the download look softer than the video on my screen?

Usually the stream, not the tool. Facebook serves several versions and switches between them as your connection changes, so what you watched may have been a clearer picture than the file the page exposes. Savemov returns the file the post is already playing and never upscales – a file that looks soft here was soft at source.

How do I download a Facebook video to my iPhone camera roll?

Tap the three dots on the post, or Share → Copy Link, paste the link above and press Download MP4 in Safari. Then iOS does one thing Android does not: the file lands in the Files app, not straight in Photos. Open Safari's download list, tap the file, press Share → Save Video and it is in your camera roll. No App Store app, and nothing is signed in along the way. On Android the file lands in your Downloads folder.

Why is there no download button on this Facebook video?

Facebook hides the save option on many Reels and on posts it decides are not downloadable, and the rule changes per post. A missing button is a permission setting, not a broken file – the video still plays for a logged-out visitor, so its link works here. Paste that link above and you get back the MP4 the player is already streaming, with the sound it carries. No login, no app, nothing published anywhere.

Is this Facebook video downloader free, and is there a limit?

Free, with no sign-up and no account. Each request saves one public video as MP4, at the quality the post published.

Can I download someone else's video?

Save only what you have the right to keep: your own posts, material the creator allowed you to reuse, or a private copy where your local law permits one. Facebook content usually belongs to the person who posted it, so reposting it elsewhere – on Reels, TikTok or another Page – is your responsibility, not ours. See our Copyright policy.
